Part of the professional team of the IPA Project (WATERTOUR project HUSRB/1602/31/0204), prof. dr. Géza Czékus, prof. dr. Judit Raffai and prof. dr. Valéria Pintér Krekić took part in a fieldwork at the Tisza river on April 8th, 2019. The watertour included Kanizsa and Zenta and the part of the river between these two settlements, and was driven by a certified boat driver (Csaba Sarnyai), who presented natural and cultural values visible during the watertour as well as objects and sceneries that may help in orientation (backwaters, islands, buildings, power-line piles, etc.) and their names. Researchers could learn about the flora and fauna of the Tisza river, crafts linked to the river, way of life of the boatmen and craftmen and –last but not least – the beauty of the attractive and calming river. The fieldwork was very useful for the professionals in their further work.
